Request

The Request plugin allows you to get HTTP request variables in your templates.

It can be used as single tag as well as tag pair. Using as tag pair will be useful if the variable requested is an array. When used tag tag pair, {item} will render the variable’s value.

{exp:request:get name="my-var"}
<li>{item}</li>
{/exp:request:get}

get

Used to get a $_GET parameter in your template.

Parameters

name: Name of the GET variable you would like. Returns false if not found.

separator: Separator to use if the data is array. Only applicable when used as single tag. Defaults to |

post

Used to get a $_POST parameter in your template.

Parameters

name: Name of the POST variable you would like. Returns false if not found.

get_post

Used to get a $_POST or $_GET parameter in your template.

cookie

Used to get a cookie value in your template.

Parameters

name: Name of the cookie you would like. Returns false if not found.

Example

{exp:request:cookie name="my-var"}

ip_address

Used to get the IP address of the request in your template.

Example

{exp:request:ip_address}

user_agent

Used to get the User Agent of the request in your template.

Example

{exp:request:user_agent}

request_header

Used to get a request header value in your template.

Parameters

name: Name of the header you would like. Returns false if not found.
