Wiki Search¶
The Wiki Module allows for a variety of ways to search its contents. Each section has several examples of search terms, and explanations for what they would yield.
Basic Search¶
Examples:
cookies
This would search for the word “cookies”, appearing in any article title or content.
almond cookies
This would search for the words “almond” and “cookies”. They could appear in any order, and one or both words could be in the article title or content.
Advanced Search¶
Examples:
"almond cookies"
This would search for the exact phrase “almond cookies”. The phrase could appear in either the article title or content.
"almond cookies" -"peanuts"
This would search for the exact phrase “almond cookies” as above, but would exclude any articles that contained the word “peanuts” in either the title or content.
Namespace Search¶
Examples:
cookies namespace:Recipes
This would search for “Recipes” namespace for the word “cookies”, appearing in any article title or content.
-"peanuts" namespace:Recipes
This would search the “Recipes” namespace for all articles that do not contain the word “peanuts” in either the article title or content.
cookies -"peanuts" namespace:Recipes
This would search the “Recipes” namespace for all articles that contain the word “cookies” but do not contain the word “peanuts” in either the article title or content.
"electromagnetic pulse" namespace: -"DHARMA Initiative"
This would search the wiki for the phrase “electromagnetic pulse”, excluding any articles that are in the “DHARMA Initiative” namespace.
